On a peninsula in Bali, Indonesia, overlooking the bay of Candidasa, there's the Samuh Hill Residence. The house has a beach at a stones throw and a private infinity pool. In contrary to tourist places in Bali, the location has a secluded and private feel. Our villa is a place to relax and get away from it all. The villa is equipped with every luxury. Spanning two floors and 250 square meters, it has all the room you need. It contains two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a big living room. There's even more space outside: a terrace with swimming pool, a big tropical garden and enough space to park the cars of all your guest. Candidasa is a fishing village about 55 kilometers from the airport in Denpasar. Most visitors come to Candidasa for the tranquillity that this place has to offer, in contrast to most tourist resorts like Kuta and Seminyak. In Candidasa you will find a variety of restaurants, warungs, temples and shops. The region of Candidasa is very suitable for diving, snorkeling, fishing, hiking and paragliding.
On the upper floor are two bedrooms: the master bedroom and the guest bedroom. Both are decorated in classy minimalistic design with some traditional flavor and feature a king-sized bed, silent airconditioning and luxurious bathrooms. Big windows give the room a sense of clearness and space. The bedrooms also have a private balcony, overseeing the ocean and the shoreline.
From every room in the house the view of Bali is amazing. It's easy to see the stars from your bed, not to mention the sunsets and sunrises. You can see the boats going out fishing early in the morning and look out over the beach. You might as well have a private beach on Bali.
The spacious living room has a home cinema set, stereo, internet access and view of the bay from the inside! The area is connected to the kitchen which is fully equipped. If you feel like it, you can cook your own food. Of course, you can always ask our staff to make you a meal.
Meticulously styled, with a personal touch, the living will feel at home right away. Its relaxing atmosphere and everything you need at hand makes staying inside as pleasant as going out. You don't even have to step out to the terrace to enjoy the view. The sofa is big enough to seat a large company, so feel free to have friends and relatives over.
From the living room and kitchen you step out to the terrace with the infinity pool. A walk in the tropical garden takes you past fragrant flowers and fruit trees. There's an outside shower to cool off while you'r enjoying the view of the bay.
You can relax and enjoy a massage in the garden house treat yourself to a meal made by your own private chef. The staff will make you everything you want, whenever you want it. Whether you are an adventurer or need some time to relax, Candidasa is packed with beautiful spots. You can go diving at Gili Tepekong or discover the hidden tropical paradise of Pasir Putih Beach. For the sightseer: there's a lot of cultural heritage around, like the Lotus Lagoon or the Goa Lawah Temple. You can ask your driver to take you anywhere you want. The beautifully-designed modern home with large glass windows and doors sits alone on the side of the hill with views of the beach, the semi-clear blue ocean, the never-ending coconut trees farm and the volcano. Once we entered the front door, our cameras came to life shooting at every corners and angles of the house. The spectacular view from the infinity pool with a backdrop of the sky, especially during sunset, was heavenly. Han's staff--Charlie, Renon, and Ketut--took care of us so well. Whether we asked for breakfast, lunch, tour/driver, or any recommendations, they provided. Renon surprised us with beautiful flower arrangement written in different words everyday. One to celebrate our honeymoon and the other to thank us for the stay. Breakfast was nicely set up on a patio with flower arrangement picked from the garden. Freshly-made fruit juices, strong Bali coffee, western or Balinese breakfast and small plates of seasonal fruits energized us until lunch time. It was a sanctuary on hot days. We hardly wanted to leave the house and would rather enjoyed lounging around at the pool relaxing, napping, and reading. The house was walkable to town center. Took about 10 min to enter the edge of town. Kept walking and stopped at some shops along the way to the opposite edge of town, had lunch, and walked back to the house in the afternoon. The house has two big comfortable bedrooms and 2.5 baths. From the rooms, the stunning scenery was always on sight. Also, You could have a pool party with plenty of parking. Life was a leisure here. We would definitely come straight here when we visit Bali next time. Thank you Han and his team for a forever memorable stay.
Photos of this house just don’t do it justice, this house is absolutely stunning and the views go on forever. We spent hours in to pool just enjoying the view. The house staff, Ketut and Lenor, came in each morning, they kept the house spotless and re-stocked the minibar with beer and water. Each day, they created a flower arrangement in the bedrooms. They set up the lounge chairs and umbrellas took care of anything that we asked of them. Charlie, the concierge took care of everything for us. He arranged for a cook to come in each morning to make our breakfasts. Eggs cooked any style, French toast, pancakes, fresh blended fruit juice. Whatever we wanted, she whipped up for us. Charlie arranged for a couple of boat trips for us with captain Madi, and arranged a car and driver (Putu) for a couple of day trips to Ubud and to several temples. We also arranged for daily massages and Tini, our masseuse did a great job. Located in Candidasa, the house is well away from the tourist areas and this allowed us to experience island hospitality at its best. People in the neighborhood were very friendly and greeted us on our daily walks. Most of the restaurants in Candidasa were happy to send a car to pick us for dinner and return us to the house after we finished eating. Many of the restaurants will also deliver food to the house so we had many dinners on the patio while enjoying the views. After 10 days at Samuh Hill, I can’t think of one negative issue or problem that we encountered. We will be back!
I don’t think there’s a house more beautiful in Bali. There’s definitely not a house with a better view. It was fantastic. From whatever room in the house the view was breathtaking (even from the toilet :-). It’s very well decorated and practical. The airco in the bedroom is placed in a way you don’t even notice. The service is great too. Every morning we’ve let us serve breakfast. It was composed of marmelade, cheese, butter, honey, eggs (baked, cooked, whatever you wanted), ham, bacon, fruit salad, fruit smoothie, tea, toasted bread and more. A five star hotel couldn’t top it. Every day the house got cleaned, towels got replaced, beer was put cold 🙂 and the garden was serviced. Ketut, Lenor and the other guy were available every day to provide me full service. A phone was placed in the villa with the managers number so you could call him at all times, which was fantastic. Charlie arranges excursions and taxi rides, when wanted. We ate at Charlie’s restaurant almost every night. Everything that Charlie took care of could be payed afterwards with credit card. Putu, Charlie’s brother, is a very good driver, accompanied us on excursions and took us back to the airport. In summary: an overwhelming experience at which we look back upon with pleasure!
The house and everything inside was very clean. The villa is in a fantastic location and exactly as the photos showed and even more beautiful than expected. The sunset was beyond expectations and gorgeous. Charlie and the other 2 servants were very friendly and paid much respect to us. The service was top and the servants never bothered us. The decoration and flowers in and around the house created a very nice atmosphere. The host, Charlie, arranged diving and fishing for a reasonable price. We also had very nice fish served for our dinner. Hans' house is beautiful with a personal touch and the stay was the best time for us on Bali island. We will recommend this house to our friends and family and be assured we will come back again.
Hard to say anything, cause we just want to go back!! There was no minus, no negative thing about whole stay. We enjoyed 10 beautiful nights and days and we are definitely coming back.
Wir haben fünf Tage in dieser einmaligen Villa verbracht. Bereits beim Ankommen verschlägt einem die wunderschöne Aussicht fast den Atem. Von allen Zimmern sowie aus dem Pool hat man einen traumhaften Meerblick. Die Einrichtung des Hauses ist sehr geschmackvoll und modern. Die Küche ist bestens ausgestattet. Das Frühstück wird täglich zur gewünschten Zeit zubereitet. Das Abendessen haben wir uns mehrfach liefern lassen, da wir es fast schade fanden, in ein Restaurant zu sitzen wenn man eine so herrliche Terrasse zur Verfügung hat. Das Team ist sehr liebenswürdig und hilfsbereit. Täglich wird alles enorm sauber geputzt. Man fühlt sich rundum wohl und glücklich. Vielen Dank für alles.
This villa is the most beautiful thing I've seen traveling around the world in over 30 years. What all the images promise is fulfilled at 100%. The best thing about the villa, however, is the daily view of the bay of Candi Dasa, when having breakfast on the terrace, or by the end of the day with a nice glass of wine. But not just the house is an absolute dream, the two great staff guys Lenor and Ketut have made our three weeks in Samuh Hill Residence an unforgettable experience. Charlie and his Joglo Restaurant are very dear to us, the food there is excellent and not expensive. We will definitely return again to Samuh Hill Residence.
Absolutely stunning villa. Breathtaking views and incredibly quiet. Respectful and polite staff, nothing was a problem. If you're looking to relax in peace and quiet this is the place in Candidasa. This was our third time to Bali, but our first to Candidasa. Best accommodation we've ever stayed in!!
I stayed here with 5 friends in May and it was so perfect. We were greeted upon arrival by Charlie, the manager, and the rest of the staff. Everyone was so nice and helpful. The house was well maintained and beautiful. The pool is amazing and the view is stunning. Charlie helped us get scooters and arranged a chef for breakfast. Candidasa is such a perfect little town. It's relaxing, the people are nice, and the food is good. I highly recommend this place and wish we could go back!

Wat een belevenis, mooie vergezichten, prachtig huis, geweldige verzorging, heerlijk zwembad. Wij hebben ons rondje Bali hier in alle rust afgesloten, genieten!
Had a lovely 5 day stay at this modern villa. Very helpful staff, well maintained and very clean. Has a stunning view overlooking the bay. Need a taxi to get into Candidasa, Charlie the villa manager gives you a phone to call him and then he arranges a taxi for you. He owns a restaurant and can organise evening meals for you at his restaurant or get a taxi for you to go elsewhere. The only negative thing to write is we had a monkey invasion!! We had never fed the local monkeys but one evening we were about to have a swim and came to the pool to find at least 20 monkeys had got there before us, is was funny initially to see them jumping in and playing around but in the end we called Charlie who organised for the staff to come and get rid of them, they handmade a mess all around and in the pool!!! The staff were excellent and quickly got it all sorted and cleaned which we appetites very much. If we were ever to return to Candidasa we would definitely return.

Endroit paradisiaque cette vue panoramique sur la mer et le volcan Agung un bonheur tous les matins au réveil. Le personnel super dévoué et toujours à notre écoute. La ballade au sommet avec arrivée sur le temple sympa. Nombreux restaurants à proximité et petits commerces, encore merci au propriétaire pour nous avoir fait partagé sa magnifique villa. Nous y retourneront, une lune de miel inoubliable après notre mariage à Jimbaran.
